School Skills – Foundations for Learning and Confidence (Ages 2–6)

Izmir International Preschool offers a comprehensive preschool program, designed for children aged 2–6, supporting a natural and seamless transition to elementary school. Through carefully balanced daily routines, children develop early literacy, mathematical thinking, executive function skills, fine motor control, and social-emotional competence.

Gathering Time

Children gain confidence through turn-taking, vocabulary-building conversations, and short routines.

Phonological & Literacy Activities

They develop early literacy skills, including letter recognition, phonemic awareness, rhyming, and emergent writing.

Numerical Thinking Stations

They learn about quantity, shape, pattern, classification, and problem-solving through play.

Question-Discovery Corner

Children explore simple experiments, make predictions by sharing their ideas, and record their observations through drawings, marks, or guided discussions.

Centers & Sharing Time

Children engage in self-directed play in their chosen areas and reflect on their experiences by sharing observations and stories with peers.

The lesson concludes with an exhibition where children showcase what they have learned, reinforce language skills, and celebrate their efforts.

Our outdoor spaces are a natural extension of the classroom and an essential part of everyday learning.

Moon Garden

Sun Garden is a vibrant, themed environment where children learn through exploration and play. Featuring imaginative playhouses such as the Patisserie, Fire Station, Kitchen & Construction House, and Grocery Store, along with a dedicated Harvest Area, the garden invites children into meaningful, hands-on experiences in nature.

Here, children plant seeds, care for them, and observe them grow—fostering environmental awareness, patience, and a sense of responsibility. At the same time, the space offers a safe and nurturing setting for sensory exploration, symbolic play, and open-ended interaction, supporting both children’s natural curiosity and their inner sense of calm.

Moon Garden is a natural, open-ended space where children explore, create, and play using their imagination. Here, they engage with natural materials like sand and wood, enjoy sensory and symbolic play, and develop creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills — all while connecting with nature at their own pace.
